Does this look like my sword plants are getting eaten? I have tetras and a golden algae eater. Could my algae water be the culprit? Should I feed him more? Right now he gets half of an algae wafer every other day. He is about 2.5 inches. How long have you had the sword? What ferts are you giving it? Just fyi those algae eaters have a habit of turning aggressive and killing fish.

About 1 week. I have liquid co2 and root tabs from peabodys. Do not have fertilizer for the water column ATM. I do realize they get aggressive, but was not aware of this when I bought it over a year ago. He is not causing problems as of right now.

It does look like there's some nibbling, but it could just be transitional damage from shipment and adjusting to your tank setup.

That one stem looks broken though, could be from an algae eater laying on it.

So the broken leaves could just be transition? Because it really looks like something is snacking on it.
