Hello All,

I setup my planted aquarium about 2 weeks ago. When I planted the plants, they looked great for first few days, but for the past week, they look a dullish and brownish.

Any suggestions? Is it too much light?
- I got the plants from a fellow friend who has an established tank.
- Substrate - CaribSea Eco-Complete
- Light - 640 lm White and blue LED (7500k)
- aquarium - 10 gal
- I add dost Sachem flourish and Iron weekly

Plants:
1. rotala indica - growing well. But leaves turning brown
2. mermaid weed - looking v dull
3. hygrophila angustifolia - - growing ok
4. Red ludwigia- growing slow but OK

Thnx,
SJ

Likely diatom algae. A single oto cat will clear it up, or just wait it out.

Thank you ZxC for the quick response. I added a nerite snail 2 days ago and found another 2 free loader baby snails. Probably pond. Will get rid of them in a week once they help clean up some algea.
