Platie ate my Cardinal?

I notice something sticking out of my Platies month but didn`t see what it was. It looked like the tail of a FISH!!!
One of the cardinals is missing. Did he eat it? Is this possible? Ihave 15 more

Rule of thumb with fish, if it fits in their mouth it's food, so yes it's quite possible.

It is possible, but it is more likely the cardinal had died first and the platies started to pick at it.

I'd be inclined to agree with Rich on this one. A fish that dies is quite often picked apart by the tankmates, even when they wouldn't have touched it otherwise. Platies aren't aggressive in nature so I don't think it would have attacked and eaten your cardinal.

I can't see a Platy eating a live cardinal. I think it just got the carcass leftovers.

Yes I have seen a Swordtail eating a dead neon.. Sorry if I implied that it had to be alive to be eaten by a platy, I just meant that if it will fit in their mouth they'll eat it (Live it will move to fast and platy's aren't interested in chasing a meal)
