Yes, so you have very low light, like I do. It looks bright but as far as plants are concerned it's pretty much the bottom of the spectrum. I didn't want to upgrade my lighting so I bought a bulb with a spectrum meant for growing plants and stick to things that don't much care how much light they get. Java moss/water wisteria are the best for that. They don't care much about how much light they get, as long as they get some, and they grow really fast which means they help keep your levels in check for you.

Elodea isn't picky but red plants usually require more light, I wonder what it is? Sounds like your snails are taking care of that plant for you anyway!
