Please help ID this fish

It's either cobalt blue zebra or blue electric jack dempsey
 
Looks like a Herichthys to me. It appears to be a juvenile, so it may be tricky identifying it to species at this stage. The most common species in aquaria is the Texas cichlid (H. cyanoguttatus).

The other possibility is
Paraneetroplus. Regardless, I think it's a central American cichlid of some form. Perhaps you could repost in the cichlid section of this forum to get advice from an expert.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll have to wait a while and see how he develops. All the ones you suggested are similar but nothing conclusive.
