I have a build up of algae in my aquarium. And it doesn't look very nice. Iv dn all I can to prevent it and it keeps coming back. Rapidly. Please help

It is green algae that looks like hair on my decorations and on the glass of the tank

How often do you do water changes?
Is the tank in direct sunlight?
How long do you leave your hood light on for?
Do you have live plants in your tank.. if you do, do you use liquid fertilizer?

Just some basic questions I always ask when it comes to algae. :)

I do a water change every week. My aquarium isn't in direct sunlight. My hud light is on for about 9 hours a day. And yes I have about 5 live plant. But I don't use liquid fertiliser.

Sounds like normal hair algae to me. It's usually caused by either ammonia buildup or excess nutrients. What's your nitrate levels at?

More water changes is your long term answer. If it's just on ornaments and such then you can clean it off manually.
