Plumbing a feeding tube

Does anyone out there know the best way to plumb a feeding tube. I am setting up a 225 gal reef tank. I will have all of the equipment in the Basement. VT on 2nd floor. Any ideas?
 
You could put a t into your main line int tank and off that t go valve, short length of PVC then another valve that way you could close bottom valve open top valve pour in food close top valve open bottom food enters main line to tank. That's the way I've seen it done you could even put a reducer on top of that to act like a funnel
