I posted this in the pond section originally, because I this is a pond related project, but it's more of a DIY kind of thing. Plus the pond section is kind of a no man's land. Please take a look and let me know what you guys think.

Personally I'm waiting until I get a house rather than this apartment to start growing a garden. I have used my old tank water to water plants though, and it's very effective.

I use tank water on all my various house plants, they love it. I too have been pondering a hydroponic system to grow/start veggies using a sump principle. there are articles on it at Monsterfishkeepers.com
