I have a 30 gal tank and recently purchased another electric blue acara for my other one who lost a EBA tank buddy. Now my older one has got Popeye. It seems like the majority uses Epsom salt for tx. Is this harmful to my one and only ? Clyde?

Super clean and basically excellent tank parameters are very important.
What are the parameters before water change?
I always recommend Epsom salts, but Popeye usually is caused by a spike in water parameters like an unknown dead fish body, or increasing poor water from overfeeding or lack of water changes.
Sometimes it can reverse simply with excellent water.
Furan-2 can help if you don't see an improvement pretty quickly with however many water changes it takes, resulting in safe water parameters.
