Hey guys,

Found my praecox rainbow at the top of the tank today with a grossly swollen belly and barely holding onto life.
So I had to euthanize her.
I then decided on closely examining my other fish. Everyone looks fine but I noticed my male cockatoo apisto has a rather large belly.
Keep in mind this was after feeding by about 2-3 hours.
I just want to catch this quickly if it is dropsy. Everything is normal as far as parameters and nothing to note

Ph-7
Amm-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate- 5-10
Temp- 28c
Tank spec- 35g

Fish-
2x cockatoo apisto, 12x harlequin rasbora, 8x Cory hasbrosus, 1x bristlenose, and 1 now dead praecox rainbow

No new fish have been added for like 2-3 weeks

I'm sorry for your loss. I have no personal experience with dropsy but the symptoms are the scales stick out like a pinecone, the fish is bloated, has clamped fins, and can stop eating. I hope that your fish are ok!
