One of the best :)

Your tank is great! I love that you have so much space for them. As I am learning about the cichlids they remind me of the Orcas, who need space which we all can understand from time to time. Beautiful tank keep up the great job.

New African cichlids setup, new 90gal. Jebo 836 canister filter, 200 watt heater and 36"air stone with Sonic 2port air pump.
I used to have a 100gal. Show tank over 10 years ago. Was breeding frontosas, and raising African cichlids back then too.
Getting back into the hobby now...here's my setup so far....
2 parrots (I know...not African cichlids.... My wife loves EM!)
3 electric yellows
1 peacock
1albino
3 electric blues
And 1 blue with some black splotches, don't know what it is yet....maybe someone can help identify it?

Thanks.
Glad to be back in the water!!!

60"x 18" 120 gallon Tanganyika tank. Just added another 150 lbs. or so of Texas holey rock this afternoon. It took us forever to source this rock at a reasonable price. It was worth the wait. Water is still cloudy in the pic. :)

Stock is 7x Neolamprologus cylindricus, 7x Synodontis petricola, and 6x Cyprichromis leptosoma "blue flash".

Where I'm at in texas, the fish stores sell the holey rock for around $8-$10 a pound. It's ridiculous because you can goto the rock yards and get it for about $0.15 a pound

I've lived in Indiana, Kentucky, and Georgia during my hobby involvement, and it's really hard to find if you are outside of Texas it seems. We definitely cannot get it at the rock yards here, and we are lucky to see a 10 pound piece at a lfs if they stock it at all. Most don't. We had been looking for months.

I live in Oklahoma and I always find it for a dollar a pound.
