In a few days, I will be cycling my 20 gallon fish tank and I was wondering how much ammonia to put in. I've read that it needs to be about 5 ppm...? I don't know how much ammonia that needs to be.. From what I understand, after the Nitrites hit zero, I water change and repeat. How large of a water change? 50?

Thanks in advance! :thanks:

I am cycling a 20g right now. I put in 1.5 mL a day and that gets me to about 2ppm. My first day I put in 4 mL and that was too much. My best advice is start with 1-2 mL then test. See where you're at and Add more, then test...rinse and repeat til u get where u want. I would say 4 ppm is sufficient.
