I have a Red Wag Platy that I think is about to give birth. Her Gravid spot seems to be there and I see a white tube (?) presenting that I assume is where the fry exit from. My question is (1) am I correct about the white tube ? There is also a very fine white thread dangling out and streaming behind her. Is this good? Is this a sign fry are about to be born? I have her in a birthing container so the babies can safely fall out of her reach. I've had her there for 3 days and nothing yet. Am I stressing her out? She barely eats. Any help would be wonderful and appreciated.

You said white stuff coming out? That's not good. :( That means she might have parasites. It's white poop stuff. Unfortunately, your stressing her out and now she WILL die. She may pregnant, she may not. If she dies, open her up to see if she was pregnant. I hope she lives. :(
