Can anyone suggest anything to put in the tank as a preventative against parasites.

Thank you in advance

Controlling Parasites

Hello Life...

Setting up and then maintaining a workable tank maintenance schedule that includes large and frequent water changes is really the only way. If you keep "Livebearers" like I do, then a teaspoon of standard aquarium salt added to every five gallons of water change water will boost the fishes immune system or "slime coat".

I've been using a small amount of aquarium salt in my tanks for several years and have never had a disease in them.

Thanks everyone. My LFS is going to help me pick some food and vitamins. I already do the water changes and salt.
