I have a bunch of anarchis that's growing wildly. I want it a lot shorter- 5-6 inches max. My stems are all at least 8 inches long, one is over 2 feet. How do I propagate?

When I got mine a month ago it was all about 6-8" but is now approaching the water surface level (~20", which is kind of mind boggling to me). All I would do to start more is cut maybe 6" off the top, strip an inch or so of leaves off the bottom of it, and stick it back down into the substrate, which is how I planted it to begin with.

Anacharis is a plant that will grow either planted or floating. If it's too long, take cuttings about four to six inches long and plant those. It's always going to grow long, but if you keep trimming the top, it will also branch lower down which will make it look bushier and fuller and control the vertical growth.
