Puffer help

So I moved the guppies out of my 46 bowfront into a 20 gallon breeder, and moved my Marmorkrebs to my new 55 gallon, so now I have an empty 46 that id like to make a Puffer tank, are there any freshwater puffers or are they all brackish and salt? That's my first major question, after that I would like to know how many are suitable for a 46 gallon tank, thanks to anyone with any puffer knowledge!!


55 - Jack Dempsey/Rainbow Shark/Cobalt blue cray
46 - Marmorkreb tank
20 - Guppy farm
10 - Betta Tank
5 - Marmorkreb fry
