Hey everybody,
I could use your help choosing a pump for my being-planned-out canister filter project. Here's the specs:
1) filter is for a 30 gallon freshwater tank
2) I expect the pump will be 3 1/2 feet below the top of tank
3) most likely pumping through 1/2 inch tubing/PVC, unless somebody tells me I should use 3/4 inch.
If I remember right, the goal is to cycle the tank 3-4x/hour, but I don't know how to figure in the "pumping against gravity" factor. Any ballpark ideas?
