Purigen recharge?

I have alot of mopani in all of my tanks and decided to try Purigen. The product worked ok but turned dark brown in couple of weeks so last night I followed the directions to recharge but it's still dark brown. Has anyone else had good luck recharging this?

pm Floyd R Turbo... he went through a big fiasco recharging his and should be able to tell you step by step what to do, and how to do it correctly...
