How much Purigen is needed for a 125 gal. in a Fluval FX5 filter? I don't want to order too much since it can be recharged.

On a 125g I would get a 250ml bottle and "The Bag." I would use it all. Should last you a couple years with recharges.

Ok thank you...sounds good. How long does it take to recharge? Should I order 500ml and 2 bags so I have a spare? Or will the tank be ok without it during the recharge process?

It will be ok without it. It is about a 2 day process.

Soak in a 1:1 bleach:water solution for 24 hours then soak for 8 hours with a solution containing 2 tablespoons Prime per cup of water.
