Hi. I know, I know, why don't I just upgrade, but that's a little more pricey than I can afford right now. So for now I need help choosing a T12 bulb to fit my current hood/fixture.
I'm having a hard time finding the old T12's, but I did find one and my question is whether it would work for plants or not.

This is the best info I can give on the specs...
24" 75CRI 6500K DAYLIGHT bulb (not "full spectrum"). The graph of spectrum it covers is mostly blue and green. It really tapers off in the red area.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks:flowers:

You should be able to get 2 packs of Daylight tubes at Home Depot for around $4. 75 CRI seems a little low for a 6500K tube. What brand is it?
6500K tubes work very well with plants, as do the 5000K.

I couldn't find any 24" T12's at Home Depot. They are apparently dinosaurs.
I had to go to a little GE store by my house (recommended by the guy at HD) so I do believe it's a GE bulb.
