After adding my DIY CO2 my pH levels have dropped more than I expected, from about 7.8 to around 7.0-7.2. It's a little low for my gouramis from my readings (7.6-7.8).

I've read different ways to raise pH like commercial additives, filtering over limestone/coral, or just adding limestone, coral, or marble to the tank bottom. Which method is preferred?

You really dont need to do anything. The KH is the same, just the PH dropped because of the CO2. Fish are sensative to KH drops, PH drops from CO2 really don't bother them at all. Mine can swing as much as a point in a day and the fish are just fine.

Ah ok. Again, thanks rich. I know some fish are sensitive to pH changes (or thought so).

Guess I'll just keep it the same :)
