I'd go with more than that just for buffering capacity. I've had them in 300+ ppm KH.

Won't that bring gh to high? like 2 to 8, his the standard for these critters

I've kept and bred them in those parameters that I posted. 2-8...is that on the degrees scale? I think 17.1ppm or so is 1 degree. I can tell you that they will be fine in the levels that I kept them in.
