Red flashes ?

I thought iv been seeing something scurry acroos my tank and today iv seen it 3 times and its just a bright red flash any ideas? Could a red leg crab survive without its shell and be in here?

I had a red leg crab originaly then he didnt move for 2 weeks so i removed the empty shell and bought a peppermint shrimp the shrimp lasted about 2 weeks and in that two weeks he also manged to stir up what look like my crabs legs so i thought for sure he was dead but recently im seeing these crazy red flashes and now i only have corals and about 5 snails 2 adults 3 babys im thinkjng they are all turbo snails
