Does anybody have experience with Red Mangrove Propagules? I want to start a brackish tank and think it'd be tight if they thickly lined the back of the tank. The tank is 90 gallons so im trying to figure out what the do to keep them alive in 24 inches of water... All comments welcome (y)

They are fairly easy to grow. Sand or similar substrate and a light is all they need. You can get away with a 40W plant light from home depot if you're not running lights already. The 24in of water will be a problem. The base needs to be sticking in substrate and the top out of water for them to sprout. You could make some sort of raised platform. Also, if you are getting already sprouted propgagules, make sure they were grown in similar salinity. If you need to change salinity, acclimate slowly over at least a week otherwise they tend to slowly die. If they haven't sprouted yet you.re fine.

Thanks a lot! Would it be possible to slowly raise the water depth as it grows if I started with just a couple inches of water?
