I've noticed some strange behavior with my Red Tiger Lotus. About 2 hours after I turn off the lights on my tank, but the room light remains on, the lily parts of the RTL starts to bend almost 90 degrees, in a way that I assume its trying to soak up light from the room light.

For anyone with Red Tiger lotus, is this bad? or beneficial in that the plant will grow more. When I turn off the room light at night, and in the morning its back to normal.

This is normal. A lot of plants will "close up" and go more vertical once the lights go out. My cabomba and tiger lotus all do it and are healthy and thriving. It's the plants way of conserving energy while going into "sleep mode".
