I have some reef bone/once been live rock that I wanted to use in my tank now, the are in a plastic container now and been there for over a year. I want to add them back to the aquarium and my question is can I just dump them in the aquarium or should i put them in water first?
All you guys have been so good here, I love this site!
Thanks!
Alex

I would rinse them well first and just put them in if they are simply "base rock". Wait until someone more experienced replies, but usually a good rinse is all that is needed. If you are worried about disease, etc then you can bleach them I think and then rinse well and put them in.

I agree. I'd just rinse copiously.

Just a strong hose with a nozzle to give them a good rinse is all you need.
