Hey guys, I made the mistake of buying a 29g kit about a year ago. It came with a topfin 30 filter, which I quickly found out wouldn't be adequate. What I didn't realize is that they weren't very good filters, so I just bought another one. So I had two topfin 30s running. I now have bought an aquaclear 50 to replace one of the topfins.

I was just wondering if anyone had advice on how to transition to just having one topfin and the aquaclear I just bought? Right now to get it going, I just slid the topfins over and have all three running. Thanks. (y)

As long as you keep one of the older filters with your good BB on for a while with the new one, so it will not cause your tank to do a mini-cycle, you should be fine

I guess the main thing I was wondering is whether I should just let it run with the other two for a month or two, or just cut up the filter from one of them and put it in the AC?
