Root rabs

Do I need to use root tabs if I use eco complete?

Yes you do. The eco complete helps but just doesn't store enough nutrients on its own.

Depends on plant species as some are heavy root feeders, while some feed primarily through the water column and would grow in even the most inert substrates like sand given the right conditions (i.e. lights, ferts, and CO2). But in any case, root tabs are still beneficial (with the exception of too many DIY O+ tabs).
