I'm just trying to find the smallest and best algae eater (of the plecos)... already have an oto, and there is a snail on the way :)

I've got a BN myself. I have no algae in the tank, but that could be because the hornwort sucessfuly competes with it for nutrients.

my tank is next to a window. It was getting VERY high light suddenly (after winter) and got green algae ALL over the back wall.. I got a baby brown bristle nose (I mean baby less than an inch long and a little more than an 1/8 wide)
I've had him about a month and the wall is CLEAN.
It didn't look like he was making any progress, and all of a sudden 1/2 was clean, a week later it was all gone. He is now an inch long and a 1/4" wide. :) Happy fishy! Happy fishy mommy.

My tank with the rubber lip never had algae, so I don't know if that was because he was there or not. ???
