Safe Water????

I would like to know if by letting tap water sit for more than 48 hours without adding any water conditioner will make it safe to use during a water change for the fish?

I know they do that to get rid of chlorine, but I don't know if it helps or not with heavy metals. I'd still suggest treating the water.

maybe how do they treat the water? letting it sit will get rid of chlorine if thats what they are adding. though many places are now using chloramine which doesnt get removed from time alone. i would be safe then sorry and just treat the water. prime is cheap and worth the peace of mind.
