I found live sand craigslist for $2 a pound. It's black mixed with tan. Is this a good price for used sand? The sand currently is in a running fish tank. The guy has three tanks and is taking one down. I'm just not sure if buying used sand is a good choice and I seen you can order sand for $1 per pound online. What you all think?

That is too expensive. you can get new sand for that price or cheaper. used sand will be a lot of work. because you would have to clean it.

New sand is only about 1.50 a pound so $2 for used is to expensive.

Thabk you for your replys. I decided to go with new live sand and crushed corrals.
Today is the big move for my fish. Im excited and nervous but i know my angel will be in heaven in the new tank.
