I just got an ammonia monitor and it is real time, and lasts for a year. Any reviews? It seems amazing so far. The middle is a little swatch of reactor and it's color coded. Yellow means <0.02ppm, green (alert) 0.05, blue (alarm) 0.2, dark blue (toxic) .5ppm ammonia. Here's what it looks like: it's actually exactly the first pic, the second pic is before they redesigned it but just so you could visualize the concept. They had some for pH, calcium, nitrate, nitrIte, and temp.

I've heard a lot of bad things about them, but don't have any first hand experience (mainly because of the inconsistency).

It did say it takes up to 4hrs to show a drop of ammonia (PWC), but only 5-30min to register a spike. That is the only downside I can see, thanks for your input!

from the reveiws i have read, its not very acurate. BUT it is ment to use as a warning if you start to get ammonia.
