Nothing you can do except give it some good waterflow to help it shed. My leather sheds every few months and stays closed for 3-5 days. The best part is that it goes through a growth spurt for the next few weeks afterwards.
I had my leather in some good flow and i've never had notice it shed.Maybe being in good current had something to do with it.
I've kept it for around 8 months before I sold it. It was kept under 96W PC for the first 4-5months than underMH for the remaining months in my old 10g
my leather recently shed, i had it on the bottom of the tank when it started and after about 4 days it still hadn't come out so i moved it into better water flow and within 24 hours it was back out and better looking than before the shed.
