Both really. Nerite snails are good for going after the glass and shrimp (amano mostly) will get everything else. I keep both snails and shrimp in my 3 FW tanks.

I have nerite, ghost, amano and ghosties in the same tank and they do great together. Spotted a RCS cleaning the shell of my zebra nerite once.

The ones I listed have a low bioload, Apple (AKA Mystery) snails are cool to have, but they're lazy and have a high bioload IMO/E.
