Hi all,

i have successfully cycled my tank and added two Clown fish (false P. clowns i believe)

one is as happy as anything but the other seems to have a "dent"? in its forhead and some white flakey stuff around the area.

Swimming and eating happily.. but hanging around the surface of the water..

Water parameters.
taken yesterday.

PH
8.4

Ammonia
0ppm

Nitrite No2
0ppm

Nitrate No3
0ppm

Temp C
26.2

Salinity
1.026

Any ideas? ive google'd and search this forum and others but its hard to search for "clown fish with dent in forhead"

Looking forward to any comments.. :(

James

Try googling "Hole in the head", it's a disease the occurs due to poor water quality.

Its possible to have one sick fish and the other one healthy. Think about when someone in your family gets the flu, the rest are fine for a time and then everyone starts to get sick

You have very good water from your posting but you don't know about the conditions your fish were subject to prior to you.

You asked for help on your situation and you were given advice from a knowledgeable member, what you do with it is your choice.
