Got a sixline wrasse about 3 and half weeks ago. It spent 2 weeks in qt with no probs. It's been in dt now for 11 days with no probs although I noticed today that just where it's fin meets it's body it has a swelling. I saw it this morning but was not sure if I was imagining it. However this evening it has got worse. Stats are all good although I have been raising KH the last few days as it dipped to 6dkh. It's now 9. I have only raised 1 dkh per day so this should not stress the fish. The pics make it look slightly worse than it is. To the naked eye you do have to look twice to realise there is a problem. If I compare it to the other side where there is a normal slight bump where the fin meets the body it probably twice as big. It is eating well, normal behaviour, and its movement is normal. No flicking or rubbing. Any of you experts got any ideas?!

Boy I sure wish I could help you out. I would hate to see a problem with mine. He is a great addition to our tank. I do have one question for you though. How in the world did you get 6 pictures of him????? I can't get any of mine because he won't sit still long enough!!!! Anyway, good luck. Hope it isn't anything much to worry about and someone can help you out.

Ha ha... I must admit I must have taken hundreds to get those six! That's the beauty of digital cameras! U just kept clicking. Update on it's health: the lump is slightly bigger but his feeding and behaviour is still completely normal. :-(

It might be a cysts if so they are treatable. Have your tried contacting your lfs? My local lfs doubles as a veterinary for fishies ^^
