Skimmer Bubble Level Question

I recently added a Reef Octopus dnw-110 to my new sump. Obviously these guys are notorious for their crappy instructions.

How high should I get the bubbles in the skimmer?


I have been impressed with the build quality - except for the metric sized pvc parts.......**** China.

I keep my bubbles/waterline on my octopus at the bottom of the black neck. It seems to work pretty good there. I agree, the instructions sucked. But they are good skimmers for the price.
