if i was to use sand and live rocks from the bahamas (abaco island, treasure cay), would i have to clean and filter them out? Dont worry, its from a dead, crushed reef because of the hurricanes.

We did the same thing with dead coral skeletons from Maui. We brought them home and put them in a tub and cycled/cured it just like dead live rock. we bleached it first to get rid of any unwanted organisms.
