sore on fish

I got a new dojo loach and he has a scrape / sore on the end of his nose like he's been rubbing against the glass a lot. I put him in his own temporary 10 gallon tank. What can I add to the water or what in general should I do to nurse him back to health and prepare him to be in the 20 gllon tank with the other 2 dojo loaches and the goldfish?

With a dojo I would start with melafix/pimafix. It is mild enough for scaleless fish. Keep the water pristine and he should heal fairly quickly.
