I bought a sponge filter on the internet a while ago and is is way bigger than I had thought it would be. It is 6" X 6" X 6" and it takes up a whole corner of my 26 gallon bowfront. At this point, I think it harbors way more of the BB than the little cage in the Aqueon 30, so I am reluctant to remove it. Or am I just being paranoid? 15 small fish, one of them being an under-the-weather platy.

Thanks.
