Could I have platies in a 29L tank?

That's about 7 gals, might be cramped in there even just for 2, they need swimming room and if they breed you'll be overrun with fish. Maybe others who've had them can say for sure. Personally for a 7 gal I'd stick with either a betta or some nano fish (ember tetra, celestial pearl danio, chili rasbora).

I was looking into stocking for my similarly sized nano recently and the general consensus seemed to be that around 6-8 nano fish such as CPDs would be fine. Some more experienced people may be able to help more...
