Stocking

I've purchased a 45 gallon tank which is cycling now, im planning to move my 6 very small angel fish in it, i would like to know would i be over stocking if i also added 1-2 small discus?

In my opinion yes, plus the angels will out compete the discus for food.

How about some guppies or tetras? or is that a bad idea?

Guppies might become dinner once the angels get some size, most tetras rummy nose size or bigger make good tank mates for tetras, just avoid the ones that can be fin nippers. You do realize that once the angels reach maturity they will start to pair off and you will mostly likely only be able to keep one pair.
