So today I picked up my black moor that has been in my mothers care for over a year. The last I saw him, he was only about an inch and a half. Today, he's 5-6 inches! He's huge!

Anyway, he seems to have quite odd looking gills. They almost look floppy or flowing like fins. I've never seen this. He doesn't seem to have any trouble breathing and he's not showing symptoms of anything. It's quite bizarre.

Any ideas?

If he is not having any issues, I wouldnt be too concerned. It honestly looks like a genetic deformity (that most breeders would cull). He looks healthy otherwise! :)
