My brother got it from a friend a while back and never used it and then my brother gave it to me. I think it just lost parts along the way. So it is not working right now. I want to setup a reef tank within a year and I would like this to be a part of it. I don't want to have to spend more money if I don't have to.

At the very least it's missing the motor for the skimmer. What does it do when you plug it in?

I haven't really turned it in but I understand ya the tubing the the skimmer broke I need to replace it. I would also need to get an over flow box

It looks like it hangs on the back if I'm not mistaken. It might not need an overflow. However I have never been a fan of bio balls on a salty tank.
