I have a Whisper PowerFilter and several powerheads and was wondering how to get the best surface aggitation. The aggitation is current breaking up about 1/2 the tank and i want it to aggitate the whole surface but have not been sucessful.

Another question, Is 1/2 the surface being aggitated enough? I've read that PowerFilters help greatly with adding O2/removeing CO2 because it is exposed to air.

Well, thats all. TIA

your whisper, or any HOB filter, does help as the way they return water to the tank it skims across the surface and as you know, water movement at the surface is what you need for gas exchange. If your trying to improve surface agitation then simply move one of your powerheads up towards the surface of your tank and point it out across the lenght of the tank. Just move them around until you get what you want. 1/2 is "ok" but you should really try for getting the whole thing to move.
