Tank Lid

i have a 2xT5HO light unit and i have a Coralife daylight 6,700 and coralife colourmax bulbs in it... if i keep the lids on my tank will it affect the way my plants take the light??

It shouldn't have too much effect (guessing its a clear lid? Lol)

I know lots of people have clear acrylic kids over their tanks with no ill effects...

ok just making sure...it is clear but does dim the light a little bit
