Tetra Question

I am cycling a 20 gallon extra high and will be putting a small school (about 7 fish) of tetras in it when it is cycled.... Question... is there a big difference between black neon tetras and regular neon tetras (besides color obviously)? I kept neons in my previous fish-keeping life about 30 years back and I like the schooling aspect of them.

Also, they will be sharing space with 2 danios (my kids fish from a previous 5g), 2 guppies from my 16g that I am tearing down to redo, and 3 Amano shrimp.... any red flags (aside from danios needing to be at least in 3's)

They seem to be a mild mannered species with little genetic variance. Behaviorally, they should be fine... However ive found that community mixtures can be hit or miss, they may not get along for some reason, but it's not likely. Just keep out large species that can fit them in their mouths.

In that space, there isn't room for anything bigger, so that limits that.
