I had to move my 29g tank about 10 miles, and as I was setting my tank back up, I noticed my water was muddy with the sand and my tetras have become amber in color. (I noticed neon tetras change color when stressed before.) Now that the mud has settled, I have lost about 4 neons, 1 bloodfin, and 2 rasboras, but my 2 cory cats, 3 oto cats, and 1 rasbora seems unaffected. My last 2 neons are back blue, but have red gills. Did the sand tear them up? If not, what did?
It has been running since last August.
I tried to protect the cycle by transporting the tank with fish and filter media. The cycle seems intact.
Amonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 3ppm
pH: 7.2
Temp: 73 deg. F day, 68 night (I may add a heater to bring it to 78)
