Thinking about hatchet fish..

Hi AA. I'm thinking about getting a small school of hatchet fish this weekend. Here is my current stocking 55gal planted aquarium:

4 gbr cichlids
1 pearl gourami
7 Harley's
8 or so cardinal tetras
3? Oto cats

Anyone have experience with hatchets? Think they will get along with the other tank mates? I want to get like 5 or 6 hatchets. And maybe a few more oto's... Right now have a pretty good community going right now and don't want to rock the boat any imput would be greatly appreciated!

The hatchetfish should be fine. The fish you have now are calm and shouldn't spook the hatchets.

Just be very careful of any openings in the aquarium cover because I have had them jump out of even small openings and I've found them on the floor. They are great fish though and lovely to watch.
