Tiger barbs and clown loach .

I have 4 large 3 " long tiger barbs and 4 clown loach . Currently all the loaches are hiding . Are they compatible ? Will they school?

Hello,
yes they are compatible I have 11 tiger barbs and 2 clown loaches and they used to swim around each other until I got a piece of driftwood that had a network of tunnels going through it and now the loaches spend most of there time in there. They come out to eat, swim around for a bit and then go back in.

Both fish inhabit similar areas in the wild so it makes sense they should be compatible in an aquarium

I wanna know about this as well. My tank is 85 gallon and right now I have 4 clown loaches around 2.5"-3". I'm planning to get around 10 tiger barbs.

It would be a good idea as my clowns & tiger barbs are quite happy together
